What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Build industry-changing applications for the third-party logistics industry

  • Develop user stories, annotated wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

  • Drive user centered design as a Lead UX Designer in conjunction with the Senior UX Manager

  • Eager to learn about new technologies and products

  • Be the users voice and drive design interaction of key customer facing products

  • Work closely with Stakeholders, Product Analysts, Managers, QA, and Software Engineers

  • Build efficient and reusable design components/patterns

  • Interact with other team members to incorporate innovations and vice versa

  • Identify and foster best practices for user experience design in web, desktop, and mobile interfaces

  • Understand, participate and in some cases, facilitate in the requirements gathering process

  • Reports directly to the Senior UX Manager


What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 2 years of UX design experience


It'd be great if you also have:

  • 3+ years of design experience in a web application environment

  • Highly proficient with Sketch, Invision and Invision Inspect

  • Direct experience with Agile/Scrum software development practices

  • Aptitude for software development beyond the look and feel

  • Experience with web and mobile User Interfaces

  • Has a portfolio of ux-based designs

  • Care deeply about enterprise level usability and high-quality software applications

  • Have an artistic flare and is passionate about simplifying human-to-computer interactions

  • Smart, driven problem solver who characterizes themselves as a 'lifelong' learner

  • Can communicate with peers and business users
