POSITION SUMMARY:

Evoqua Water Technologies Ltd are looking for a Purchasing Agent to join our team to support the ISS Business Segment. The role of Purchasing Agent will be responsible for delivering an efficient and responsive service to the business by performing Planning and Purchasing functions. This includes deploying stocking strategies, data integrity and the execution and management of purchase orders for sourcing activities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as liaison between vendors and users and resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices to meet customer expectations, both internal and external
• Obtain prior approval for purchases in excess of established limits, and expedite orders as necessary
• Update project plans and purchasing systems; review and analyze requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases
• Negotiate prices, terms and quality requirements as needed
• Prepare requests for quotes and assist in the development of new supply sources; evaluate market conditions
• Maintain an OTD of 95% or above through daily management of PO's and requisitions
• Work in a very demanding, fast paced environment
• Review and maintain stocking strategies to support customer orders
• Update and maintain system records to uphold data integrity

POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:

• At least 2-5 years' experience as a Buyer in a similar environment
• SAP experience preferred. Candidates with a strong purchasing background and similar business enterprise database experience will also be considered
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated to hold oneself accountable to meeting commitments
• Experience handling high volume purchasing requisitions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with external vendors, internal customers, and the procurement team
• Intermediate experience in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
