Job Description:

GDIT is hiring Cybersecurity Engineers to support a Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). The integration and employment of cybersecurity activities for DODIN operations with internal defensive cyber operation measures in response to vulnerabilities and threats to reduce risk across the cyber battlefield.

This work is in support of the US SOUTHCOM’s Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) contract.

Responsibilities:

Ensures the rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all Information Technology (IT) and cybersecurity services

Develops and designs security solutions to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information throughout the enterprise

Identifies, plans, and documents improvements to security controls currently in place

Develops and documents recommendations and courses of action (COAs) to solve complex cybersecurity problems

Develops and interprets cybersecurity requirements as part of the IT acquisition development process and assists in the formulation of cybersecurity/IT budgets

Plans and schedules the installation of new or modified security hardware, operating systems, and software applications

Ensures the assessment and implementation of identified computer

Ensures the assessment and implementation of identified computer and network environment fixes such as system patches and fixes associated with specific technical vulnerabilities as part of the Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management program

Guides the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective cybersecurity program, including boundary defense, incident detection, and response

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Management or related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years of practical computer security experience in secure networks and systems design, analysis, procedure/test generation, test execution and implementation of computer/network security mechanisms (multiple levels available)

3+ years of experience with DoD information assurance policy.

3+ years of experience with developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences and clients.

DoD 8570 Certification, including IAM-II

Security+ CE Required.

Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

Active TS/SCI required to start.

Military Experience: Experience with hardware and software design of tactical systems using components from the common criteria, UC APL, or NIST and FIPS validation program lists.

Additional CAP, CISM, CISSP, CASP, GSLC, or CISM certifications are desirable.
