Headquartered in Houston, Texas, with locations around the world, Quanex Building Products Corporation is an industry-leading manufacturer of components sold to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the building products industry. Quanex designs and produces energy-efficient fenestration products in addition to kitchen and bath cabinet components.


Quanex Building Products in Cambridge, Ohio is seeking three positions for Engineering Technicians to join it's team.  The Electrical Engineer Technician is an integral part of the Engineering Team that is located in Cambridge, Ohio. 


As an Electrical Engineering Technician at Quanex you will be responsible for:



  • Analyzing existing processes and machinery for safety, productivity, and performance improvements.

  • Interacting with Production line personnel to determine process problem areas.

  • Managing capital improvement projects as required

  • Making improvements to the manufacturing process

  • Leading and/or assist with trials and development projects

To be successful at this position you should possess the following education, skill and experience:



  • Extensive Electrical knowledge

  • Knowledge of computers MS Office programs and various software including CAD

  • Knowledge of engineering practices, math, and sciences to apply towards problem solving

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Knowledge of tool and die process

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering preferred and/or 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or any appropriate combination of education or experience
