Nemours is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, (Casual) to join our team in Pensacola, Florida.With clinic locations in Pensacola and Destin, Fla., Nemours provides pediatric specialty care to children and families in northwest Florida and southern Alabama. We offer comprehensive, family-centered care in more than 30 pediatric specialties with several of our physicians regularly named among the “Best Doctors in America®.
The licensed practical nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing care. The licensed practical nurse performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching. Health counseling, and provisions of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a licensed physician or licensed healthcare provider. The LPN gathers patient data, performs follow-up assessments using the nursing process.
The licensed practical nurse provides safe nursing care to pediatric patients with guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. The LPN is responsible for daily patient care, assessment and treatment in collaboration with the clinical medical provider. The LPN must be competent in caring for patients with moderate to complex heath issues.
