An Assembler will be responsible to do the following:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (outline job duties and responsibilities):

• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.


• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.


• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.


• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts.


• Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.


• Mark or tag identification on parts.


• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.


• Performing duties such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment.


• Clean and lubricate equipment.


• Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings, and dates and times of product production.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED

• Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:

High School Diploma/GED

• Type and Length of Experience:

One year of related experience

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:

Individual who is mechanically knowledgeable is important.  

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

• Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):

Individual will be required to lift certain materials weighing under 50lbs to different areas of the plant.  An overhead crane will be used for items over 50lbs.  Individuals will be climbing ladders, bending squatting and using many mechanic type of tools. 

• Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):

Individual will be in a heavy manufacturing environment.  It will be quite loud in areas and several PPE is required.
