Position Summary:

As the Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator in Occupational and Employee Health, you will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care by supporting the comprehensive Occupational and Employee Health Programs(s), designed to promote employee wellness, maintain productivity, decrease absenteeism, and promote cost containment. As the RN, you will assist with the clinical functions of the program(s), including pre-employment processing, occupational health testing, and surveillance.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will participate in all aspects of the Occupational and Employee Health & Safety Program(s). You will provide quality care to employees in accordance with corporate/hospital policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • You will perform pre-employment screenings, annual health screenings and tests, and immunizations.
  • You will serve as the initial source of medical evaluation and reporting for employee work-related illnesses and injuries and assigns employee to appropriate level of care. You will provide consultation and first aid and schedules therapy, rehabilitation, and/or work restrictions as needed.
  • You will serve as case manager for work-related exposure, injury, or illness. You will evaluate and investigate all incidents, coordinates medical interventions and work absence/light duty assignments, and conducts follow-up to determine appropriate resolution.
  • You will promote interdisciplinary approach for the identification, tracking, and resolution of employee health issues.
  • You will maintain all logs, periodic reports, employee files, and databases.
  • You will provide necessary employee health education on wellness initiatives, safe work practices, and occupational health programs.
  • You will assume accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.

Whatqualifications you will need:

  • Currentlicensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current activemulti-state Registered Nurse license required.
  • BasicLife Support certification through the American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross required.
  • AssociateDegree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Twoyears minimum nursing experience required.
  • Certificationor eligibility as a certified occupational health nurse preferred.
  • Previousoccupational health nursing and workers' compensation experiencepreferred.
  • Experiencein emergency department, orthopedic nursing, case management preferred.
  • Knowledgeof occupational health, safety, ergonomic and workers' compensation preferred.
  • Knowledgeof OSHA law, FMLA, and ADA preferred.
