Title: Supply Chain Integration Project Manager; Warehousing and Manufacturing
This is a very exciting time to join Ferrara Candy Company, a US subsidiary of a multibillion dollar global confectionary manufacturer, the Ferrero Group. Within the past three years, Ferrero and Ferrara have acquired a $1Bn Nestle confectionary business and a portion of Kellogg's North American snacks business including Keebler and Famous Amos cookies - a deal valued at $1.3Bn. These deals have resulted in substantial and rapid growth to the company's manufacturing and distribution footprint.
Ferrara is looking for a Project Manager to own and coordinate critical process improvement, cost reduction, and standardization initiatives related to warehouse management, inventory management, and manufacturing while collaborating with senior and executive management. Candidates should have a good understanding of the processes connected to manufacturing such as direct procurement, supply planning, and inventory deployment. This highly visible role will be the focal point for designing and implementing the next generation of supply chain capabilities that will enable a platform for continued growth and success.
Work across different manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and business units on standardization initiatives, identifying differences across the portfolio and rolling out a single best practice process that meets the requirements of all stakeholders
Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings; assist with the execution of opportunities identified across the business
Deeply understand the business and each operational function to become an authoritative advisor and a source of holistic perspective on the future capabilities
Collaborate with functional owners to translate strategic objectives into a project roadmap (people/ process/ systems) and develop tangible project plans with specific milestones, deliverables, dependencies and associated RACI matrices
Facilitate articulation and documentation of detailed process and IT requirements by functional owners through workshops and design sessions
Provide full transparency into progress across all projects through robust status updates and reporting
Maintain a healthy balance achieving business objectives and ensuring accountability while promoting collaborative and friendly environment. Effectively anticipate, avoid or effectively manage potential conflicts.
3+ years of project management experience with a large consumer products or food manufacturing company, or a consulting firm specializing operations, manufacturing or supply chain
In-depth, expert knowledge of operations functions (warehouse management, inventory management, and manufacturing) and experience designing and documenting processes in these areas; knowledge in related supply chain functions is also highly valuable
General knowledge of integrated ERP systems; SAP (including SAP WM) experience is a plus
Demonstrated track record of managing complex cross-functional projects involving business process redesign and/ or development of new capabilities through replacement or upgrade of IT systems and infrastructure
Strong command of project management tools and techniques and their practical application
Ability to summarize and present information effectively to senior leaders and help them make strategic decisions while considering the impacts across the organization
History of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing parallel work streams and priorities with multiple stakeholders and aggressive time lines
Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree in one of the following preferred (related degrees welcome to apply): Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration with focus on SCM or project management / Industrial Engineering
Exceptional project management skills (PMP certification and experience with Microsoft Project is a plus) and strong conceptual thinking
Excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills
Strong experience in standard office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel; ability to quickly summarize and extrapolate conclusions from large data sets
Experience working with manufacturing plants and/or warehouses
