Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, open-rank faculty position to serve as the Program Director in our Data Analytics Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for program leadership and associated administrative functions, in addition to teaching. The position begins August 2021. A high priority will be given to candidates with field experience and evidence of success.
TLU is a teaching-focused institution that offers select graduate degrees including the MS in Data Analytics. The degree includes two specializations: Business Analytics and Computation/ Technology. Requirements for the position include:
Doctoral degree in data analytics or any other field with data analytics application (Master's degree with substantial analytical experience will be considered.)
Ability to teach a variety of classes in data analytics, such as ERP, web analytics, R, "big data", business intelligence, or data mining
Effective oral and written English communication.
Commitment to university/community service, business and community outreach, continued professional development, and serving a diverse student body.
Understanding and support of the mission of Texas Lutheran University.
Preference will be given to candidates who have 18 graduate hours in a business field, information systems, computer science, or statistics. Preference will also be given to candidates who have experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses and have experience in program leadership and associated administrative functions in higher education or other organizational contexts.
