If you are an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer/Sr Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you will develop, evaluate and improve multiple manufacturing processes, utilizing knowledge of DFM and DFA to collaborate in the creation of new process technology, improved product designs, and materials while supporting production goals, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.  A focus on automation and continuous improvement is required. You will support all White-Rodgers facilities, contract manufacturers, and suppliers in process improvements.

 AS AN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER/SR ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 


  • Develop manufacturing and testing processes for new product development/introduction, capacity growth, and efficiency improvements

  • Lead project team activities; team may include manufacturing engineering functions only or cross-functionally to include members from product planning, procurement, quality, operations, and suppliers 

  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve current process issues related to tooling, materials, process, and gages

  • Use financial analysis to estimate labor savings and justify project costs

  • Continually improve process capability (Cpk) and process efficiency or OEE of assigned processes while supporting quality, cost, delivery, and safety 

  • Implement lean production principles to create or improve material flow

  • Utilize lean, six sigma, DOE, principles during improvement activities

  • Develop, maintain, and standardize process documentation

  • Work with groups within White Rodgers and outside Suppliers to implement projects and tasks as needed

  • Continually seek new technology opportunities

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • Minimum four (4) years experience as a process/manufacturing engineer

  • Controls programming knowledge (Allen Bradley preferred)

  • Robotic programming knowledge (Fanuc preferred)

  • Experience with high volume manufacturing process experience

  • Must have project planning skills to prioritize tasks and establish framework and systems for managing areas of responsibility

  • Must have good written and oral communication skills

  • Skills in 3D modeling and AutoCad

  • Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • English skills

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role


 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • 8+ years experience as a process/manufacturing engineer

  • Society/Trade Involvement related to assigned process(es)

  • Knowledge of ISO9001/14001

  • Understand performing PFMEA

  • Working knowledge of PPAP and statistical process control 

  • Certified Project Manager
