General Overview:

This Product Enablement position is a lead role with matrix management responsibilities reporting to a Product Enablement (OE) Director within the Data & Analytics Solutions / Data & Analytics as a Service (DAS) organization. 

This role is responsible for leading complex projects or components of complex projects related to product strategy and development across multiple operational units as well as managing product support activities within DAS.  This position requires 5+ years in Project Management as well as an analytical acumen, as this role will support various Organizational/Strategic improvement opportunities focused on data analytics insights.  This role requires adaptability, flexibility, and creative thinking approaches to analytics and problem solving, employing a wide range of methods, tools, and techniques.   This role will also be at the forefront of driving critical prioritization and execution in order to drive the greatest benefits in a rapid growth environment. 

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Manage the ongoing product support for the current product pipeline

  • Manage high-profile/high impact projects involving multiple stakeholders and drive the projects to successful conclusion

  • Develops detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements, and/or policy/process improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with standards and business strategy.

  • Identifies and develops relationships with sponsors and key stakeholders to establish and monitor progress against project goals and objectives. As needed, coach senior executives re: sponsor and stakeholder roles and responsibilities to ensure project success

  • Champions organization's project management methodology, tools, and techniques

  • Consults on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects

  • Facilitate ideation sessions

  • Facilitate decisions across organizational leaders

  • Align work plans across all impacted teams and deliver projects on time with expected scope

The incumbent needs to be able to:


  • Lead Business and IT development forums and governance including semi-agile backlog grooming sessions, requirement sessions, Executive and Sr. Director leadership forums

  • Manage timelines and deliverables from matrix partners across the Evernorth, ESI and Cigna teams

  • Organized, driven, results oriented project management professional who can manage a variety of complex initiatives to timely and successful outcomes

  • Strategic thinker focused on optimizing solutions, technologies, support models, etc. for the greatest beneficial outcome and driving the change (both from the project and change management standpoint) to get to the desired structures and solutions

  • Strong Change Management skills

  • Excellent oral, written presentation and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to rally support around vision & strategy

  • Ability to negotiate with peers and senior leaders to come to agreements & productive solutions to business problems.

  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals

  • Strong business acumen – or the ability to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of products.

  • Possesses the ability to quickly identify interdependencies among business units and matrix partners.

  • Proven ability to create and further develop strong relationships with both business and IT leadership

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor others and effectively delegate across matrix environments and direct or indirect reports

  • Work comfortably in a cross functional matrix environment including building positive and outcomes based relationships

  • Define and align appropriate program sponsors to complex and sometimes competing initiatives and gain support for the project in those organizations

  • Evaluate the issues and define clear problem statements

  • Drive work to completion across all impacted teams

  • Communicate clearly with all levels of the organization from Sr. Executives to front line employees

  • Ability to appropriately and effectively engage senior leaders and enlist their support in the appropriate ways to get to the highest quality, most efficient, and most beneficial outcomes as soon as possible

  • Continuously balance competing priorities and drive focus and attention to the most critical objectives and success measures

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in IT Project Management, Healthcare Informatics or any other quantitative discipline preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years Project management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analytical project leadership role closely working with senior level executives in driving initiatives and strategic decisions and managing a team.

  • Experience with Agile-like delivery methodologies.

  • Preferred skills and experience leading 6 Sigma business projects with the ability to apply Lean 6 Sigma concepts in operational business organizations.

  • Must like working in highly dynamic, fast paced value driven environments.

  • Ability and willingness to share knowledge and coach individuals w/ varying levels of experience.

  • Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, embracing change and helping others see it as an opportunity and able to stay focused on goals while adapting to change

  • Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions to co-workers of all levels across all organizations.

  • Act with a sense of urgency to research questions or issues brought by the team. Identify the right parties or resources to resolve these issues (organizational agility).

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
