Strategy Analyst III

The Strategy Analyst partners with firm leaders to integrate analytics into business decisions, support the increased use of data-driven decision making, and execute best in class analytics within their areas of focus.

Responsibility Summary :        

Identify, thoroughly analyze and solve moderate impact and/or complexity problems.

Partner with senior leaders to integrate analytics into Firm strategy and business decisions.  Support the increased use of data-driven decision making.

Develop and manage strategic relationships with senior leaders across the organization.

Drive for implementation of solutions by partnering with key stakeholders from across the firm to ensure analytics projects are successfully implemented  by business areas.

Conceptualize analytical deliverables and determine appropriate analytical approach(es).

Help key stakeholders understand the trade-offs between various approaches.

Work effectively in a matrixed analytics organization.  Identify and coordinate resources (people, systems, tools) not in your chain of command.  Recommend priority of work execution.

Participate in and occasionally lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional or firm-wide business objectives.

Develop division and/or program-level measurements to influence strategic direction.

Educate senior leaders across the firm on analytical concepts and best practices.

 

 

Position Qualifications:

 

Education

Bachelors degree in Business,  Economics, Data Science or Analytics

Relevant work experience will be considered.

MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

 Experience

7+ years work experience preferred

Consulting and/or business development experience is a plus.

Financial Services industry experience is a plus.

 

Functional/Technical Qualifications

Intermediate ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply advanced analytical techniques, and which technique to apply to the problem.

Intermediate understanding of the Firm's analytics capabilities tools.

Ability to navigate the Firm, build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

Ability to translate complex concepts, appropriately communicating the information to both technical and non-technical audiences, up to senior leaders.

Strong communication and presentation/story-telling skills.

Ability to research industry/field best practices.

Intermediate understanding of Firm business drivers and results.

Intermediate understanding of advanced analytic techniques and business intelligence tools is a plus.

Advanced PowerPoint skills.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, charting, formulas.

Intermediate project management skills.

Proficiency using visualization software (Tableau) is a plus.
