Job Description:

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day to day operations of your section which includes direct management of 10-15 non-exempt staff members. You will be responsible for staff and process performance including productivity and quality. Each section works within stringent time constraints and in a high volume, dynamic environment. You will execute established procedures and policies within established operational policies and budgets; ensuring adherence to applicable guidelines; and make timely recommendations for production/service improvements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and direct the operations of approximately 10-15 non-exempt employees

• Active monitoring of units productivity, quality and service level to insure all daily goals are met

• You will assign work and set workflow priorities, track the units' performance and monitor daily volume and service levels.

• You will be responsible for defining and measuring performance standards and staff development as well as building and maintaining a positive work environment.

• Annual performance appraisals, monthly feedback sessions, continuous development plans and quality reviews must be consistently prepared and communicated to staff.

• You will be responsible for adherence to policies and procedures, while seeking opportunities to improve processes and operating efficiency.

• You will be responsible for resolving escalated, complex customer issues, managing your cost center budget and capacity planning.

• Candidate must have strong problem solving ability, organization and prioritizing skills including good judgment and decision abilities.

• Commitment to deliver high quality work in a fast pace, deadline driven team environment. Build collaborative internal and external relationships to provide the best services

• Leverage tools to track productivity and maximize team performance

• Ability to manage high volume processes with stringent time constraints

• Ability to manage daily staff, supply and vendor expenses to insure budget goals are met

• Ability to learn detailed processes to effectively respond to team's questions

Core Competencies

• Preferred, but not required - 3 Years of mortgage banking or financial experience


  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suites

  • Comprehensive understanding of all credit and collateral documents

  • Knowledge of conforming and non-conforming guidelines.
