Purpose:

~ The Manager, Sales Analysis will provide analytical support for all sales related reporting. This position will support the sales department with real time sales analysis for strategic planning and operational objectives in order to achieve annual sales objectives and targets.  This position is also responsible for providing support for establishing the business plans and priorities for Genesis sales and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for executive review. This position will be responsible for Business Intelligence Insights.

 

Major Responsibilities:

~ Analyze model line sales volume performance and competitive industry performance.

~ Perform drill down analysis to identify areas of sales opportunity (model line, trim line, region, metro market).

~ Analyze national and regional sales transaction data and prepare executive presentations.

~ Manage creation of daily, weekly, and monthly sales and department reports.

~ Create database/dashboard for tracking of sales performance metrics for real-time insights.

~ Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasting.

 

Authority:

~ Provide management with accurate information and recommendations to facilitate decision making.

~ Backup and support Senior Group Manager, Sales Operations, as required.

 

Education:

~ Bachelor’s degree required.

~ Master’s degree preferred

 

Related Experience:

~ Minimum four plus years of sales analysis experience.

~ Automotive OEM experience strongly preferred.

~ Strong analytics & process background.

~ SAP, Excel, Access & data modeling experience.

~ Forecasting & regression analysis experience preferred.

 

Skill/Knowledge:

~ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

~ Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have highly effective verbal and written skills and be able to make a business case for proposed improvements.

~ Excellent organizational skills.

~ Excellent time management skills.

~ Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

 

Physical requirements:

~ Normal office duties.
