Reporting directly to the System Infection Prevention Director, the Infection Preventionist will work to develop standards using epidemiologic principles that are in accordance with the prevention of the HAI. The Senior Infection Preventionist will work with administrative leaders and clinical leaders throughout the hospital to ensure that infection prevention measures are in place.The Infection Prevention RN will be working with Unit Managers and additional hospital personnel on implementing prevention measures hospital wide. It is critical that the Senior Infection Preventionist work with healthcare team members to identify and manage any clusters and healthcare related events. These measures will ensure the safety of the hospital members in addition to the community members.

The Infection Control Practitioner will develop and implement core measures throughout hospital using statistical data and analysis. The Senior Infection Prevention RN will work with the Infection Prevention Director to create reports that provide analysis of any health care associated infections. The Infection Prevention Registered Nurse will work as an educator and mentor to staff members providing them with the necessary tools to create a healthy environment.
