Wintrust is recruiting for an junior level (roughly 2yrs of experience) credit analyst join our Business Banking Credit Team in Skokie. Analysts are responsible for financial analysis and risk assessment of potential borrowers, preparation of credit memoranda to be presented to senior management, and monitoring credit risk within various loan portfolios. This position supports the Business Banking team for Wintrust Bank.

Responsibilities include:

The individual is expected to complete the following responsibilities in a timely manner.

• Operate within the Credit Administration team in Skokie and be responsible for the daily review and underwriting of commercial credit facilities (C&I and CRE).
• Underwrite participation request (only involving Wintrust Asset Finance)
• On an as needed basis underwrite Easy Access and ODP credit facilities.
• Utilize Credit Lens to spread and interpret financial statements and conduct collateral analysis to minimize risk and maximize credit quality.
• Complete "Annual Review" of Commercial Real Estate facilities.
• Review / present the completed credit memo to the relationship manager and credit officer.
• Ensure that all relevant information is obtained from the relationship manager and placed on TREEV.
• Assist relationship managers with clearing Moody's exceptions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and internal personal.
• Follow established bank policies and procedures.
• Complete all Wintrust University regulatory courses in a timely manner.
• Assist with other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a credit / underwriting position.
• Familiar with business financial statements and personal statements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be organized to juggle various tasks.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook applications.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
• Positive attitude and professional customer service is a must.
• College degree preferred.
