JOB SUMMARY


The LMS Administrator and eLearning Developer is responsible for the administration of MAPMG's LMS (SumTotal) as well as the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of learning solutions for MAPMG's physicians and staff. Primary responsibilities include working with the Director of Professional Development and Wellness to contribute to the Regional and Service Area vision for learning solutions. This includes partnering with stakeholders to identify needs and define new projects, developing creative and engaging learning materials, collaborating with subject matter experts, and delivering innovative and robust learning solutions. This position will be based out of our regional location in Rockville, Maryland.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Work with the Director of Professional Development to manage the ongoing development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of learning solutions to support the priorities of Regional and Service Area leadership.

  • Create, update, edit, maintain, analyze, evaluate, and manage all aspects of each Learning Module in the Learning Management System (LMS). Partner with internal and external eLearning developers to ensure proper course set-up, functionality, and data capture in LMS. Provide customer service to LMS users to ensure they have a seamless technology experience.

  • Provide support during and after CME activities, including managing the CME evaluation process.

  • Integrate professional development learning curriculum into various learning platforms including e-learning, micro-learning, web applications, instructor-led virtual classrooms, virtual simulations, video, and podcast using multiple multimedia tools and blended solutions.

  • Lead professional development e-learning projects that are learner-centered and user-friendly. Manage e-learning projects through the design lifecycle from research and analysis through design, development, and implementation; provide clear timelines through all phases, communicate with stakeholders, and select appropriate evaluation strategies for successful application.

  • Consult with Regional and Service Area leadership to identify performance gaps and professional development needs and requirements. Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver customized learning solutions.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts as needed to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer and course content for learner application.

  • Apply instructional design principles and evidence-based adult learning strategies in developing content objectives and analysis.

  • Develop, enhance, maintain, and evaluate ongoing engagement of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group’s Professional Development and Wellness website for physicians and staff.

  • Manage the development of instructional materials (i.e. tutorials, job aids, reference guides, audio and video scripts, story boards, navigational text, learning tests) that transform complex information into professionally written, interactive multimedia instruction.

  • Be a subject matter expert for instructional design and e-learning to enhance programs and offerings. Recommend new, cutting-edge instructional formats and technologies as applicable.

  • Collaborate with the Professional Development and Wellness department and other departments to develop and execute innovative new projects.

  • Serve as backup POC for CME/CME Program Manager

  • Production of Podcasts for PDW and other virtual educational programs

  • Serve as consultant for various departments to facilitate the interface of educational materials into the LMS system

  • Monitor the Physician Development and Wellness Department (PDW) Mailbox to answer questions, and troubleshoot problems for users by phone and via email.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 


 


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, Distance Learning, Human Performance Technology or related field or relevant experience is required .

  • Experience with LMS administration (SumTotal) highly preferred

  • Perform quality checks/verification on LMS data and cross-check against multiple reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed scripts, work with actors, and use audio software to synthesize voice for eLearning

  • Proven proficiency in utilizing instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories

  • Proficient graphic designer with experience in working with multimedia and graphics for education and course development

  • Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint), and learning program design software

  • Highly Proficient in Articulate Storyline, Lectera, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), and other eLearning software

  • Strong content curation skills

  • Knowledge of rapid design/development methodologies

  • Direct experience in a medium corporate environment with 1,000-2,000 user with exposure to diverse projects preferred

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to high performance, quality and service excellence

  • Must have strong project management skills and ability to meet project quality expectations within schedule commitments - Ability to deliver on all stages of a project from start to finish within established timeframes

  • Must be laser focused to details and deftly manage all aspect of work including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well and doing what it takes to deliver reliable results

  • Must be a team player and demonstrate positive interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients)

  • Proven business acumen to include strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, sound presentation and facilitation skills
