What you will do:
You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising daily Reverse Logistics operations at the distribution center. Under the direction of the Sr. Operations Manager, you will work directly with various client Business Group Representatives in coordinating the receiving disposition of product in a manner consistent with company procedures and objectives.
How you will do it:
Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the receipt of returned materials, evaluation of disposition and verification of conformance to Return Material Authorizations.
Ensure team compliance with company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Establish work schedules. Ensure that employee schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned, effectively and completed properly. Maintain employee hours, payroll and time off. Oversee the interview, hiring and training of new employees.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining 5S standards of the warehouse. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
Provide strong leadership by promoting the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally
Responsible for special projects completion as assigned by Senior Management. Assist where needed within Operations and general Management as deemed necessary.
Coordinate regular cross training of associates with leaders of other operational departments to ensure a highly functional, versatile workforce.
Champion internal initiatives including High Performing Teams (HPTs) and the Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS).
Champion the continuous improvement of PLM ensuring updating in conjunction with changing business needs.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures. Maintain and update SOP’s for all areas of responsibilities. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer expectations and ensure accuracy and quality. Direct the flow of operations to achieve established objectives and make recommendations for process improvements to better meet quality and productivity objectives as necessary.
What we look for
Required:
Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems
3-5 years of experience in warehousing operations
Minimum of 3-5 years Supervisory experience
Associates degree or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in reverse logistics and remanufacturing
This position requires consistent lifting, walking, bending, stooping, schedule flexibility, and multi-tasking.
Preferred:
Experience in BAAN and/or WMS systems such as JDA Red Prairie, SAP and/or JDE
Additional college and equivalent work experience
Experience in a wire-guided system, wireless receiving and picking operations
