What you will do

Working on various projects across the enterprise, you will be responsible for each project’s architecture to align to the Enterprise Integration (EI) technology road map and for the quality and timeline for internal integration team projects.  You will also be confident, influencing, dependable and an excellent communicator. 

How you will do it


  • Design integration solutions and support estimating the implementation costs for Enterprise Integration (EI) projects.

  • Support the EI Architecture team’s API led design methodology for enabling reuse of APIs across the landscape.

  • Participate in the integration strategy for existing and new application landscapes as JCI moves to new cloud platforms and/or applications.

  • Review and approve project integration technical architecture.

  • Support the monitoring strategy for the integration platforms.

  • Actively work towards continuous improvements related to architecture for the integration platforms. 

  • Support the EI platform management team to plan and implement upgrades and migrations of current platforms in accordance with the technology roadmap.

  • Communicate with the EI Architecture team to keep them apprised of project architecture activities and to seek their consultation as necessary.

  • Provide technical and industry-specific subject matter expertise to support requirements gathering, solution design, and  technical oversight.

  • Create and maintain Project Management Plans and any supporting documentation required to successfully execute the project (e.g., project schedule, technical approach, invoicing schedule, risk management plans).

  • Identify skills and resources required for successful project execution and work with vendor resource managers to onboard/assign appropriate staff to projects.

  • Communicate with the IT management team to keep them apprised of project activities and to seek their consultation as necessary.

  • Provide administrative and technical direction to external resources.

What we look for

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT or similar technology-related degree

  • Deep understanding of MuleSoft Anypoint platform capabilities (Design, Management and Monitoring Center, Exchange)

  • Proven experience with integration and API architecture

  • Thorough understanding of industry trends, vendors, frameworks and practices

  • Provide technical leadership to onshore and offshore developer team members

  • Understanding of Agile delivery principles and quality software engineering processes and practice

  • Understanding of DevOps/CI/CD

  • Understanding of cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and iPaaS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing integration solutions using APIs and web services on Mulesoft platform

  • Minimum 5 years of development experience in the integration platforms

  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts such as networking, VPC, VPN, load balancers

  • Understanding of security concepts such as identity management, authentication, authorization

  • Experience with either RAML or OAS

  • Knowledge of security (authentication and authorization, encryption)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred:


  • Developer or Architect certification for MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

  • SAFE or other Agile framework certification

  • Knowledgeable experience in the following technologies: IBM MQ V9, IIB V10, Axway MFTS, MuleSoft, Apigee, EDI
