Responsibilities

The Sr Program Manager of Outside Services Integration will be responsible for maintaining a strategic framework and roadmap for identifying critical engineering service vendors, managing and flexing capacity, as well as building value-add relationships with key vendors.  This will include establishing vendor performance management, standardizing vendor engagement and onboarding, identifying opportunities for contract process and term standardization, and developing our strategy and process for lifecycle vendor selection, relationships, and management globally.

As a global, cross-functional role, the Sr Program Manager of Outside Services Integration will be required to build strong relationships and collaborate with global project engineering leaders, procurement category management, legal, finance, HR, and senior management.

This broad role will focus on outside services for better profitability and flexibility of the project execution portion of Dematic’s business. The global project engineering organization is looking for an independent, team-oriented, analytical leader to manage this program. The ideal candidate is an energetic, enthusiastic, exceptional relationship manager with outstanding analytical, negotiation, and project skills.

Responsibilities


  • Provide vendor risk and relationship management subject to master services agreements and capacity management within the mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Dematic to keep them informed of emerging changes.

  • With procurement, develop a vendor management strategy and process to facilitate effective onboarding and oversight of critical resources; this includes elements such as planning, due diligence, contracting, monitoring and termination phases.

  • Ensure vendor risk exposures are identified and reported, escalating issues to the relevant internal partner or subject matter expert to develop an appropriate remediation plan .

  • Maintain the criteria for identifying critical vendors as well as managing the inventory of them (rate cards, scalability, usage, etc).

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop KPIs and chair frequent reviews to evaluate performance, discuss mutually beneficial opportunities, etc.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of vendors to ensure delivery is in line with strategic direction, individual vendor contractual obligations, and agreed to performance measures.

  • Manage the interaction between vendors and internal functions to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs.

  • Ensure required training is provided within the vendor integration and oversee the execution of the onboarding framework by business owners to ensure the scopes of work are understood and monitored

  • Act as interface between vendor and internal need, facilitate new process trainings, schedule changes, labor requests and any other scope change requests.

  • Act as reporting manager for vendor output, facilitate onboarding, termination, and system access setup.

  • Manage PO and invoices, facilitate vendor payment process.

  • Introduce and/or maintain governance meetings with vendors to drive performance and create a strategic relationship that is forward looking.

  • Support procurement and legal to challenge vendors and drive strategic contract negotiations to reduce the cost and align with Dematic’s compliance and control requirements.

  • Analyze vendor costs and spending patterns, understanding the downstream impact of changes to pricing, and drive improvements regionally and globally.

  • Keep up to date with compliance requirements and best practices

  • Analyze statements of work and approach to information/work transfer

  • Demonstrate change management capability including the ability to work with stakeholders to address barriers for team success.

  • Work effectively as part of a global team, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and handle multiple tasks, workload, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR or related field or Business equivalent experience in Procurement

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience required with proven track record of delivering results

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • Must have ability to work well both independently and in teams

  • Demonstrated ability to solve administrative and procedural problems and successfully handle multiple tasks

  • Ability to process information efficiently and produce a high-quality work product quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail

  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams and leaders.

  • Exceptional attention to documenting, monitoring and modification of fine detail within contracts or similar documentation and day to day activities.
