Infusion Pharmacy Technician -- Gainesville, Florida

The Infusion Pharmacy Tech, under the direction of the Pharmacist, is responsible for preparing IV MEDS safely for patients adhering to established protocols for State and Federal standards, and other regulatory entities. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES will be:

• 
  Contacts patients and/or caregivers to schedule a delivery and determine supply needs.Accurately dispenses products in the computer system.
  


• Accurately calibrates equipment and assists with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs


• Ensures that all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods and clean room are cleaned per company policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED required


• Registered Pharmacy Technician required in the State of Florida. Certification preferred, or Certification obtained within the first year of employment


• Thorough working knowledge of IV medications, sterile IV mixtures and aseptic procedures and working knowledge of basic pharmaceutical calculations


• Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team under stressful conditions at times and under time constraints.
