We’re looking for:

An individual to build relationships while delivering world class service to our internal customers. They will have the passion and vision to partner with our management team to help grow the business. This person will serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting policies, and resolving work-related problems to ensure effective employee relations.  The position will implement HR initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness, build talent in the workforce, company culture and positively impact overall business performance. 

As the ADP Payroll & Human Resources Generalist you’ll:


  • Need current, strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.

  • Directly oversee the input of payroll information into ADP payroll and ensures it is completed by the required deadlines.

  • Promote the purpose and values across the PWI organization.

  • Be a strong HR partner with a positive approach to problem-solving.

  • Assist management in recruiting and hiring for all exempt and non-exempt personnel.  Use effective recruiting techniques to help determine the correct candidate and conduct research to determine an appropriate wage.  

  • Assist management in planning and implementing staffing, scheduling, and monitoring overall changes in headcount.  Assist in ensuring that all departments are properly staffed at all times.

  • Handle and resolve employee relations issues to ensure compliance to company policy as well as legal ramifications. This includes reviewing employee complaints, conducting internal investigations and partnering with management staff to resolve issues as needed.

  • Advise, assist, and recommend to management performance improvement planning, disciplinary procedures and terminations for employees as needed.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team on initiatives to promote positive company culture. 

  • Educate employees on company policies. This includes but is not limited to eligibility for and accrual of benefits such as personal time, vacation, short and long term disability, and holiday pay. Conduct manager and employee training sessions as needed.

  • Handle unemployment claims and worker’s compensation claims. Ensure that all required posting and recordkeeping of OSHA 300 Logs and state and federal employment postings are maintained.

  • Assist in controlling and monitoring overtime, vacations, leaves of absence, sick pay, holiday pay and other payroll-related matters as they occur; resolve discrepancies between time cards and paychecks. Initiate the paperwork for leaves of absence, status changes, and insurance benefits and notify the departments of any unusual problems.

  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment matters (repeated), including wage and hour laws such as overtime and minimum wage regulations and regulations applicable to employee benefits (COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA).

  • Assist management in implementing and communicating human resources policies. Reviewing and evaluate human resources matters to improve policies and procedures.

  • Monitor the performance appraisal program consistent with Company policy and procedures.

  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of employment regulations, current practices, new developments and trends in human resources.

  • Strictly maintain the confidentiality of all personnel information and ensure that no company activity is discussed by him or her or other employees with non-employees.

  • Maintain positive employee relations and morale whenever possible. Practice sound leadership and human relations principles to promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of professionalism, positive attitude and excellent performance.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Educational qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience required.  At least three (3) years of previous Human Resources experience is required.  Previous experience in supporting a decentralized field staff is preferred.  PHR preferred.  Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of employee administration and excellent interpersonal, human relations skills including confidentiality, trust, credibility, objectivity, adaptability, a sense of urgency and loyalty are required.  Must be comfortable with technology including Office environment.  ADP Workforce Now experience required.
