This position is responsible for the design and development of innovative training solutions across a wide spectrum of AT&T entertainment products.

The Designer produces training targeted to address specific performance objectives, using a variety of instructional techniques, including self-paced on-line courses, educational videos, custom web-based interactions, and online performance support materials.

Preferred candidates must be proactive, a self-starter, possess the ability to build meaningful relationships quickly (w/ internal and external clients), grasp complex concepts and explain them to high level executives, have a passion for technology, be capable of leveraging web authoring languages(html, css, javascript, PHP, Rails, etc) to rapidly create modern solutions.

Develops methods for evaluation of program effectiveness. This role will have a focus on Simulation Development. You will coach and guide the Development of training simulations and the associated user interface. Ability to problem solve, coach/mentor/guide team members to build other innovating solutions. Strong attention to detail and ability to provide specific and detailed feedback to designers while working in a fast-paced environment.

Applicant must be able to work well with a team, be self-directed, and demonstrate excellent judgment. Highly effective project management, critical thinking, problem-solving and business acumen skills are essential. Proven ability to design and develop highly engaging web-based solutions using modern design methodologies and frameworks(bootstrap, angular, node, react). Experience creating multimedia such as videos, interactive games, animated motion graphics, or kinetic typography (Adobe After Effects, Edge Animate, Premier). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization, including senior level executives. Peer leadership and influencing traits are essential. Ability to think outside the box to identify effective solutions. 

Preferred Skills:


  • 2 - 5 years experience working in instructional design, adult education and training, and digital media and communication.
  • 2 – 5 years experience developing web-based deliverables using common web languages(html, css, js, PHP, Rails) and modern design methodologies
  • Demonstrated graphic design experience creating original illustrations or layouts
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Edge Animate, After Effects, Premier)
  • Experience in delivery of corporate training/adult education.
    Working knowledge of all aspects ADDIE model.
  • Experience designing for a variety of instructional delivery methods and media including face-to-face ILT, and web-based learning.
  • Experience with gaming.
  • Exceptional problem solving and the ability to follow the issue through to resolution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Peer leadership and influencing traits are essential.
  • Self-directed, self-starter who also works well with a team.
  • Ability to create innovative lesson structures and templates that can be reused for future lessons and audiences

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree, strongly preferred
  • Audio and video editing experience
  • Experience with both graphic design, web design/development and video production in order to help our department grow into new design areas
