Job Summary


The Metropolitan Center is seekgin a student to join their team of professionals. Duties will include:
- Assist the Training Coordinator with training duties as assigned.
- Schedule programs, presentations and training sessions conducted by training presented to management, staff and customers.
- Assemble materials, schedule conference rooms, prepare class rosters and provides for any audio/visual equipment that may be required.
- Evaluates individual training records and insures compliance with statutory requirements.
- Meet with program personnel to identify training and/or staff development needs.
- Send out communications for the Center through contacts management system.
- May coordinate a public relations and/or marketing function to communicate with and inform entities of the specific educational or training program.
- May serve as liaison with chambers of commerce, governmental and educational systems, the business community, and other groups and individuals.

Requirements
- Associate degree or Bachelor degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Who May Apply


Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Upon graduating, FWS employment must end.

Work Schedule


Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
