Director, Business Development - Midwest

The Business Development role is responsible for growing, developing and managing Boingo's existing DAS/Small Cell Real Estate business and strategic partnerships. The main responsibilities will be to: (i) work directly with wireless carriers to identify DAS/Small Cell opportunities; (ii) negotiate, structure, and sign revenue generating agreements with those carriers; (iii) ensure contracts meet or exceed Boingo standards;

Responsibilities

- Establish relationships with Carriers to maintain and grow Boingo's DAS/Small Cell footprint

- Market existing networks to major wireless carriers, negotiate business terms, and see projects through to completion

- Responsible for stewarding deals through all facets of the sales cycle and contract process for new and existing DAS/Small Cell networks including coordinating with cross-functional business units

- Utilize internal tools to track and maintain accurate data for pipeline, forecasts and closed deals.

- Ownership of weekly and monthly reporting to new and existing carrier customers

- Self-motivated to maintain regular contact with customers, management and peers coupled with time management skills to monitor transactions through completion

- Other projects/duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required.

- 5+ years telecommunications experience preferred; or 3 years of consumer sales experience, consulting and/or banking experience preferably in the technology, telecom or commercial real estate, with proven record in signing large deals

- Ability to manage multiple contract negotiations and relationships simultaneously

- Proficient working knowledge of the telecommunications industry & landscape

- Proven track record of communication and people skills

- Possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and self-management driven by results

- Ability to think quickly and analytically (critical thinker)

- Ability to read and comprehend legal documents

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as margin and percentages

- Ability/Drive to work independently or within in a group

- Proficient in presentation skills, MS Excel, Power Point, Word

- Willingness to travel a must (25% - 40%, depending on home base location)
