Job Description

The Walker will schedule all Tunneling related daily activities and coordinate field crews through directives given to foremen as well as plan and schedule all requirements to control labor, equipment and material costs.

*Safely direct works, perform daily JHA toolbox with Formemen and crew

*Oversee field personnel, daily/weekly schedules, and construction operations

*Supervise and schedule construction crews and subcontractors daily

*Manage crew as well as coordinate work with other Tunnel Shift Supervisor and subcontractors

*Organize and efficiently perform shift change meeting with other Walkers

*Assist in On-the-Job training

*Take an active role in emphasizing safety, quality and production, leading by example

*Assist Engineers with quantities and production

*Perform additional assignments as needed, including actively assisting mechanics in TBM maintenance, and conveyor belt installation

*Ensure that ALL resources assigned are maintained, protected, secured and used at optimum efficiency

*Understand project budgets and productions to manage personnel and equipment efficiently

*Qualifications:

*Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in tunneling

*Demonstrated decision making skills

*Ability to work in high production environment

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*Working knowledge of JDEdwards

*Working understanding of types of equipment necessary for production

*Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines

*Demonstrated ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums.

*Demonstrated and verifiable ability to manage, supervise, schedule, and delegate on large and complicated projects
