The team is seeking an Associate/VP focused on the Pharma/Biotechnology space to work closely with the current Healthcare Equity Trading team. You will follow the healthcare sector broadly, with a specific mandate to analyze Pharma and Biotech catalysts and clinical data. You can be expected to contribute ideas and perspectives on distributions, opine on risk positions, and contribute to building a robust healthcare franchise across the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
You will be working closely to:
Build strong industry knowledge in the pharma and biotechnology sectors
- Work closely with cash and volatility traders to help manage risk and distributions of outcomes
- Analyze clinical events in the biopharma space (i.e. clinical readouts, drug approvals, etc.)
- Help develop and maintain framework to track and monitor catalyst calendar of relevant biopharma events
- Contribute to investment banking division (IBD) and equity capital markets (ECM) with market color and connectivity.
Who We Look For

The Equities Division is looking for an experienced Biopharma analyst candidate to conduct analyses on the pharma and biotechnology space, and leveraging deep clinical analysis and company-specific knowledge with .

Experience in Investment Banking or Buyside investing is preferred with focus on fundamental single-stock analysis, financial statements analysis and deep understanding of biopharma clinical and regulatory catalysts.

Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience analyzing clinical and regulatory data from the perspective of an investor
- Modeling and financial statement analysis background
- Familiarity with different product areas (equities, derivatives, bonds, etc.)
- Proven ability in developing client and industry relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD, MD, MS, or other advanced life sciences degree
- Network of biopharma clients and/or industry contacts
