Sentrillion is seeking a talented Installation Technician IV- Lead in San Antonio, TX. Under the guidance of the Field Deployment Supervisor the Installation Technician Lead assists and supervises installation personnel who install, maintain, test, diagnose, and repair various security, surveillance, access control systems, and associated equipment.

Specific duties include the following:

- Measure, cut, splice, connect, solder, and install electrical or electronic cable and wiring.

- Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, replace, or adjust electronic equipment, components, or systems to include conduit, raceways, cable trays, junction boxes, panels, enclosures, low voltage circuits, and related hardware; provide senior-level expertise to other team members as a subject matter expert in these tasks; confirm operational status and functionality of all installations per OEM specifications and engineering guidance.

- Read and understand work orders, instructions, schedules, formulas, processing charts, schematics, wire diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings; directly coordinates changes to project documents with engineering staff.

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including test, analysis, adjustment and repairs.

- Assemble, disassemble, and install video and data communication lines and hardware, computer systems, and security and surveillance systems using hand and power tools.

- Apply advanced electric theory (voltage, amperes, and ohms) and associated test equipment to install, test, troubleshoot, or replace electronic power, communication, and control systems.

- Use electronic test devices to verify/validate operation, calibrate, adjust, or modify electronic equipment to specification or to enhance performance.

- Perform hands on equipment and systems demonstrations and instruct customer personnel in the proper operation of equipment; answer customer inquiries and complaints.

- Climb equipment poles and ladders; construct camera pole mounts and roof mounts and/or reinforcements

- Prepare footings and mix/pour concrete to enable equipment installations.

- Clean and maintain tools, test equipment, trailers, and motor vehicles; conduct motor vehicle inspections.

- Complete log books, expense vouchers, timesheets, and verbal and written status reports as directed and per established policies and procedures.

- Dig holes or trenches as required; oversee and provide guidance to sub-contractors as coordinated with engineering

- Attend developmental and refresher training to improve or maintain technical skills; provide in-field hands on training to subordinates.

- Participate with the assigned project engineer in scope of work planning, installation timeline development, initial site walk through (survey).

- Work closely with the engineer assigned to the project; supervise, direct and guide installation personnel and ensure completion of assigned project tasks.

- Evaluate quality of performance of installed equipment; provide on-going QA/QC feedback to the project engineer.

- In concert with the project engineer arrange and coordinate local procurement of construction material, equipment, professional services, etc. required for project completion.

- Identify and utilize appropriate housing and support facilities for team personnel consistent with industry best practices, government travel regulations, company guidelines, security requirements, and effective use of resources.

- Coach and counsel team members; complete performance appraisals.

- Inform management of any significant issues involving customer relations, installation progress or team personnel.

- Safety officer; conducts daily safety briefings and ensures personnel adhere to established safety standards, guidelines, and directives.

- May function as a single entity or as part of deployed team.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE (Required):

- Associates degree (AAS preferred) from an accredited institution required 2 years' experience may be substituted for the degree, or certification and experience, i.e. completion of a technical school program or Security Technology Institute certification in security and surveillance systems and experience installing security and surveillance systems.

- Additionally, at least 8 years of experience as a lead electrical installation technician or equivalent job installing security, surveillance, and access control systems.

- Documented or demonstrated experience using basic electronic test equipment, oscilloscopes and optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR).

- Valid driver's license; able to meet company safe driving requirements.

- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; able to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner and interact at all levels of the organization and with customers.

- Detail oriented; able to multi-task and change priorities quickly.

- Demonstrated skills in leadership, team building, guiding, and motivating teams.

- Advanced understanding of computer concepts, applications, and configuration; electronic and computer equipment hardware and software, and operation of telecommunications broadcasting, switching, and control.

- Ability to work designated schedule as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.

- Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models; proficient at reading and annotating computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, project schedules, and bills-of-material (BOM).

- Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

- Ability to travel (approximately 75% of the time) to remote US locations.

SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

- Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments exposed to varying high or low temperatures.

- Must have sufficient physical agility to walk, climb, stand, crawl, and stretch on a continuing basis.

- Must be able to work at moderately high heights up to 40 feet above the ground using bucket trucks, scissor lifts, and ladders.
