Since 1950, Mercy Hospital has been serving the healthcare needs of South Florida. Licensed for 488-beds, Accredited by the Joint Commission, Mercy Hospital is affiliated with more than 1,000 physicians representing a wide range of medical specialties to serve the residents of Miami-Dade county and surrounding communities. Services include emergency care, heart and vascular care, maternity and neonatal care (Level II NICU), as well as outpatient and CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the AVP of Operations, the Director EVS directs and manages the Environmental/Linen services daily operations within the hospital and assigned campus locations, providing a consistently clean, sanitary environment throughout the hospital while ensuring that State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations and standards of performance are met. Responsibilities include:

* Direct and manage all Linen/Laundry operations by overseeing distribution systems and linen purchases

* Oversee and responsible for the daily monitoring and quality control measures of all cleaning activity throughout the organization

* Oversee and responsible for the staffing and scheduling of personnel to ensure appropriate staffing to handle work volume/patient activity

QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED required; College degree preferred

* Certification through IEHA or ASHES preferred

* Minimum one year of experience in Health Care Environmental Services Management required

* Preferably 3-5 years' relevant acute hospital experience
