Job Description:

Here at St. Jude, Quality Improvement analysts coordinate the selection, preparation, review and necessary revision of Revenue Cycle departmental measures. Quality Improvement is a continuous process conducted within the Revenue Cycle department which assesses the quality of the work provided by the service areas within the department by measuring the accuracy of key departmental processes. The goal of quality improvement is to continuously identify opportunities for improvement that will benefit the customer, improve results and increase efficiency.

The Quality Analyst- Revenue Cycle position is responsible for tracking and analysis of the Revenue Cycle performance in a variety of areas, including but not limited to registration, insurance and eligibility verification, facility and professional services billing processes. This position supports the development of quality management measures and drives process improvement across Revenue Cycle operations.

* Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management.

* Master's Degree in Health Informatics/Information Management accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree and required experience.

* Three (3) years in healthcare setting where familiarity with standards of care, medical record documentation, and exposure to medical terminology has occurred.

* Experience with Quality Improvement, Utilization Management, coding, and billing regulatory guidelines are preferred.

* Must have experience with database development and maintenance.

* Registered Health Information Administrator Licensure (RHIA) required for Bachelor's degree level.

* Registered Health Information Administrator Licensure (RHIA) required within six (6) months of employment if Master's degree level.
