If you are an Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Brookfield, Connecticut location, you will provide expertise, support, and problem-solving capabilities for Branson customers both domestic and international, in order to maintain and generate additional business. AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 


  • Analyze and evaluate customer applications for assembly and assist with recommending equipment, tooling and part design modifications.
  • Perform material weldability evaluations
  • Provide application troubleshooting support both in-house and in the field. 
  • Conduct customer visits to provide technical information or solve customer problems
  • Provide written technical communications (i.e. application feasibility evaluation, application briefs, technical bulletins) for customers, industry groups and suppliers.
  • Provide training for customer and new employees through in-house seminars, field seminars, and lab training programs.
  • Provide Technical Support to Market Segment Managers

WHO YOU ARE:You build the customer relationships.You marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • BS degree required; BS in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred
  • At least 2 years professional work experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of transporting materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of plastics is a plus
