Job Description:

The GS Physical Security Technology team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who support and enable the physical security of our retail and corporate environments through access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance technologies. They are responsible for the overall design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of integrated security systems that protect the firm across the logical & physical threat spectrum. Physical Security Technology professionals work closely with key stakeholders across Global Security, Global Real Estate, and multiple groups across our Global Technology organization.

The position of Corporate Alarm Monitoring Center Manager is based in Phoenix, AZ. This position includes the day to day management of the Americas Corporate alarm monitoring center and team; the direction, coordination, and implementation of security procedures; alarm monitoring procedures and associated workflows; and related personnel policies.

As Manager of the Americas Corporate Alarm Monitoring Center your primary responsibility is to lead and manage the day to day operations of the alarm monitoring center team and processes to protect our people and physical assets, ensure established service levels are met, monitor and escalate issues relating to system and device health, and provide management level reporting on alarm and event related data.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage all aspects of the 24/7 operations of the Americas Corporate Alarm Monitoring Center
  • Ensure reports for incidents/Alarm Responses are compiled and distributed to management and key stakeholders
  • Oversee the process for all necessary checks including alarm test/door checks and CCTV checks
  • Develop and initiate all necessary AMC Standing Operating Procedures to maintain continuity of operations
  • Development, introduction and maintenance of departmental policies in all areas of AMC Management
  • Design and implementation of daily operational and annual roster patterns
  • Responsible for logistical support of all business requirements for the AMC operation
  • Oversee the management and ownership of relevant video, intrusion, and access control system elements within training to ensure that accurate data is constantly available
  • Strategy development and objective setting for the department according to business needs and requirements
  • Overall responsibility for recruitment and selection of AMC Controllers to support operational demands and ensure correct staffing levels are always maintained
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders throughout the Americas region, ensuring their requirements are met as per the Americas regional standards
  • Responsible for oversight of attendance, development and performance management of AMC Controllers
  • Carry out on site training for all staff, to include new member training, new systems training, and refresher training

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of previous management experience in a similar role required
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and organisational skills
  • Conversational level Spanish and/or Portugese is a plus, but not required
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Advanced reporting of metrics using MS Excel and other reporting tools required
  • Ability to prioritise workloads within a busy, changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of physical security technologies and devices such as access control and video
