HPE HPC combines computation and creativity so visionaries can keep asking questions that challenge the limits of possibility. Drawing on more than 45 years of experience, HPE HPC develops the world’s most advanced supercomputers, pushing the boundaries of performance, efficiency and scalability. HPE HPC continues to innovate today at the convergence of data and discovery, offering a comprehensive portfolio of supercomputers, high-performance storage, data analytics and artificial intelligence solutions.

For those who ask what if, HPE HPC is a partner that merges computation and creativity to extend the boundaries of what you can discover.  Our greatest achievements are realized when we face what seems impossible, and that’s why we invite those who believe anything is possible to join us and to keep asking what if, why not, and what’s next.

We’re hiring for a Full Stack Technical Lead that will provide leadership for our engineers, and will be a hands-on contributor on our high performance computing (HPC) management plane software and infrastructure.

Our piece of the stack needs to be able to quickly stand up infrastructure in a consistent and reliable way, ensuring that all necessary configuration the platform requires is present and validated.  We provide a stable foundation so our colleagues can deploy the rest of the software used to manage the HPC compute resources.

How you'll make your mark:

  • You will work with development of customer-facing tools for managing our platform’s infrastructure.

  • You will work with automated OS installation and configuration on metal and in the cloud.

  • You will develop and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline with automated testing.

  • You will oversee the technical delivery of other team members.

  • You will be aiding with project organization and road mapping.

  • You will solve problems and are comfortable diving into an existing code base to understand it and figure out how to improve it.

  • You are well organized and capable of seeing the big picture of a project.

  • You are curious and always looking for ways to make improvements.

  • You are a clear communicator that can explain their ideas and provide critical feedback to other engineers in the form of code reviews and other discussions.

  • You have experience managing infrastructure on-prem and in cloud computing environments like GCP or AWS (GCP experience is a plus).

  • You are a self-starter who isn’t easily blocked and instead seeks out solutions and guidance pro-actively.

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering or equivalent job-related experience.

  • You have a minimum 10-15 years cumulative experience in the following areas.

  • You have automating infrastructure deployment both on metal and in the cloud.

  • You have experience using and managing Kubernetes.

  • You have experience writing, testing, and shipping customer-facing software.

  • You have developed and maintained a modern, full-stack, CI toolchain.

  • You have acted as a technical lead and providing feedback and quality control for a team of engineers.

  • You have the ability to help groom and grow a technical backlog of work.

  • You have the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

  • You can work remotely.
