What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?



  • Function as HR Paralegal within HR Department reporting to CHRO/Employment Counsel

  • Manage discovery for employment litigation

  • Responsible for docketing employment litigation

  • Manage subpoena responses for employment records

  • Assist with various projects for CHRO/Employment Counsel

  • Proactively design legal file management systems, maintain original legal files, corporate documents and legal opinions.

  • Provide administrative support relating to the activities of the CHRO/Employment Counsel, including drafting correspondence, preparing and revising external and internal legal presentations, and undertaking research.

  • Assist with the CHRO meeting and conference agenda and logistics

  • Support the legal orientation of new staff and maintain legal training and guidance materials.

  • Edit and proofread legal documents

Requirements



  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree with a Paralegal certificate from an ABA qualified program preferred

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience with previous healthcare experience a plus

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Knowledge of general legal concepts and terminology

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment
