SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Director - Application Systems, in a multi-faceted, multi-location academic setting, the Business Analyst evaluates identified business challenges, provides recommendations, and delivers solutions to meet organizational needs. The position is responsible for providing support and maintenance to critical enterprise applications and integrated solutions.

The Business Analyst works with and supports Financial Aid staff to evaluate business and Student Information System application processes and proposes solutions that improve organizational efficiency, increased automation opportunities, and reducing organizational risk in a highly regulated environment.   The position creates business requirements and works with business teams and developers to deliver solutions that align with business requirements while ensuring integrity of system data and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.  The position will troubleshoot issues, maintain configuration of SIS applications, analyze, and propose solutions for improving operational efficiency for the financial aid staff.  The position will identify and recommend operational efficiencies with other local campus-based departments as needed.   The results-oriented position provides excellent customer service and standards in support of the organizations mission.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or Equivalent Experience required.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years previous experience designing, architecting, developing, implementing, supporting, and integrating business solutions built with systems supporting student information.
