What We Do…
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has been tasked with front line crime reduction through rehabilitative treatment and programming efforts provided in a safe, secure and humane correctional environment and effective community supervision. Our goal is to protect the public through helping individuals turn away from crime and become productive, contributing members of our communities, ensuring a safer Ohio for all Ohioans now and in the future.

There are two (2) vacant positions; only one (1) application is needed.  

The Job Opportunity and Duties…

• Administers medications
• Performs treatments
• Assists with doctor’s sick call
• Performs or assists with nursing management of chronic care clinics;
• Responds to emergencies providing emergency care & cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
• Performs subjective & objective assessment of patients;
• Prepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities
• Ensure discharge medication orders are completed
• Assists physicians with medical procedures
• Counsels/provides education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance & prevention of disease
• Works closely with security to ensure the safety and well-being of both staff and inmates

Requires current licensure as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Ohio Revised Code.
