Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the assembly of small components into electromechanical fixtures via various techniques. This position will have to opportunity to learn various brazing, soldering, and welding techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret drawings, sketches, diagrams, verbal, and written instructions to perform complex assembly and production of electromechanical components.

Apply proper procedures to join, surface, fabricate, and/or repair parts as specified by work orders, drawings, sketches, verbal, and written instructions.

Clean all components prior and after assembly.

Inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards.

Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Perform duties in a team environment with minimal direction or supervision.

Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

Position Requirements:
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts.

Brazing, welding, and/or soldering experience greatly preferred.

Additional Characteristics:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
