Job Summary:

The primary focus of the Sr Project Manager is the tactical supervision of Project Manager's implementation of new contracts, ensuring execution of the Departmental VP's strategic intent and standardization across new accounts. Related tasks include managing transition process improvement and standardization efforts, as well as Project Manager training, mentorship and professional development. The Sr Transition Manager may also be expected to directly manage transition projects, in the event that all other Project Managers are at capacity or if the nature of the account demands a more seasoned project Manager.

The Sr Project Manager must be seen as a subject matter expert to Transition Team members, our customers, a problem solving and communication resource to our field teams, and a thought partner to our senior leaders. The Sr Project Manager exercises a sophisticated level of business acumen, multi-tasking and project leadership skills requiring a strategic mindset, discipline, excellent communication abilities, analytical skills, self-motivation, and creativity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Monitor progress on all open transitions, ensuring achievement of project schedule, budget and scope, that best practices are being leveraged, risks are being properly escalated and opportunities for improvement and training are being identified and addressed

- Management of assigned projects from initiation to closing, including the development and maintenance of all project documentation, providing status updates (quantitative and qualitative) along the way to Company executives, all while staying within intended schedule and budget

- Ensure all Project Managers are properly equipped and trained to perform their duties

- Assessing company and department processes and providing recommendations for improvement. Specific tasks include assessing and articulating the 'current state', analyzing opportunities for improvement, documenting and articulating recommended improvement, gathering support for and implementing new or improved processes

- Developing and growing strong relationships across the organization and at all levels within the organization

Education:

- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a field requiring critical thinking, leadership and communication skills) from an accredited college. Strongly prefer MBA

Qualifications:

- Five to seven years of experience in facilities maintenance Project Management environment influencing change indirectly with team members who do not have a reporting relationship to the role

- Familiarity with mechanical systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and all areas of facility management and technical systems

Licenses/Certifications:

- Must possess a valid driver's license. Prefer candidates with an active membership in an accredited facilities or project management institute or association. PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

Ability to move about commercial properties and construction sites, through tight passageways and corridors. On feet as project task requirements dictate.
