Description:
* Coordinates the physical workplace with the business and employee needs of the organization.
* Responsible for the maintenance of buildings and related services.
* Assures the optimal delivery of building services.
* Manages space distribution, supports the governance process.
* Coordinates moves/adds/changes.
* Supports company Health/Safety/Ergonomics programs (also see physical requirements).
* Supports projects
* Implements space governance decisions.
* Implements cost controls for maintaining buildings, equipment, and furnishings.
* Implements processes and procedures.
* SMP Space Management site coordinator training.
* Service Market Place expert for facility related services. Supports service requests at EDH, Rancho, Capital Mall, and K Street as needed.
* Oversees contractors for outsourced services.
Essential Responsibilities:
* May manage the design, development and/or implementation of additions or enhancements; develop and coordinate departmental moving projects; assess and evaluate physical space requirements and make recommendations to meet needs.
* Evaluates and develops recommendations for short-term improvements to physical building/property conditions and maintenance planning.
* Provides administrative oversight of third-party relationships through implementation of designated systems, routine monitoring of performance, and tracking of services.
* Prepares reports on operational and budget performance.
* Implementation of additions or enhancements; coordinate departmental moving projects; assess and evaluate physical space requirements and make recommendations to meet needs.
* Implement recommendations to improve building/property conditions and maintenance.

* Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on departmental results.
* Works independently under limited supervision on moderate and more complex projects/assignments.
* Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
* May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area and department function.

* Responsible for improving processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area.

Knowledge and Experience:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Typically, requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project/budget management.
* Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
* Office Environment Work, Travel & Labor Related Work - Facilities maintenance, build, repair or security roles - Activity level: High level of physical activity up to 100% of workday and moderate periods of sedentary work up to 75% of workday.

- Physical Requirements:
Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
