The Operations team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for providing a variety of services for our clients. We provide a powerful platform for diversified investing and portfolio management with significant customization, tax and cost management benefits.

The role of Business Analyst will focus on New Accounts, Tax, and Abandoned Property/Escheatment within Operations. New Accounts will focus on verifying clients, updating personal information, and reviewing daily reports. Tax will include backing up the Tax Department during Tax season, including MLP, UIT, tax form corrections, and general service questions. Abandoned Property responsibilities will include SQL queries to pull client and account information, create uploads, and preparation of accounts for escheatment to states.
Additionally, the role will involve performing duties for the Operations Team to organize data in excel for Metrics, Residual data, and one-off requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

CIP verification - Use of Lexis/Nexis.
- Updating personal information.
- Review of new accounts daily.
- Learn the process of Escheatment, preparing accounts, upload for the DTC of securities.
- Linking accounts to our Fixed Income vendors.
- Communication through Salesforce system.
- Process MLP and UIT tax information to our Tax vendor.
- Tax form corrections and cost basis corrections.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS in Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Background or interest in financial markets.
- Keen interest in understanding data, willingness to learn SQL, and strong excel skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal, communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Understanding of RIA client tax reporting.
- Knowledge of cost basis accounting.
- FINRA Series 7.
- SQL or database query skills or ability to learn quickly.
