As the Program Manager for Quality you will be reporting directly to the VP of Architecture driving a culture of quality across the entire Flexera Engineering team.

The Technology
Flexera is building a modern cloud-native platform integrating and modernizing multiple product lines and leveraging exciting technologies such as Go, Goa, Kubernetes, Prometheus as well as a wide variety of database technologies and cloud services. The software is deployed and updated continuously via a CI/CD pipeline built using tools such as Terraform and helm charts. Teams operate using the DevOps model and own designing, implementing, deploying and operating the software.

The Role
We are looking for a senior practitioner with experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle with an emphasis on testing and performance. The Program Manager for Quality will develop and maintain a set of standard for quality engineering as part of the architecture team and will enable teams to bootstrap their quality engineering efforts, in order to ensure that Flexera continues to delight customers. Critical to this effort is also evangelism and spending time with our Engineering teams in training them in these processes and concepts.

Additional Responsibilities
- Work with other architects and engineering leaders to establish standards around testing cloud-native software.
- Promote adoption of the "shift left" and "shift right" paradigms for testing.
- Establish transparency and visibility into software quality across all teams.
- Work with other architects and engineering leaders on performance improvements including but not limited to UI and API speed improvements.
- Train teams on modern testing processes and concepts.
- Build a culture of quality within the Flexera Engineering teams.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience building and testing software
- Experience with cloud services and cloud native architectures
- Passion for software quality
- Experience leading through change
- New or improved process implementation
- Strong communication skills
- Prior experience with the Go language a plus.
