Loan Documentation Specialist at Origin Bank

Job Description:

Summary Performs one or more of the loan documentation tasks which include Document Preparation; Document Review; and Document Boarding & Verification by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Document Preparation
- Pulling approved loan applications and preparing packets, which includes sorting and assigning applications for processing, pulling flood determinations, and review of Certificates of Good Standing for commercial borrowers
- Production of loan documents using Laser Pro
- Delivery of documents for closings
- Document Review
- Review of loan documents for accuracy
- Review of loan collateral documentation to ensure liens are perfected
- Receipt and Processing of original signed loan documents
- Document imaging
- Filing of required original loan documents in loan vault
- Document Boarding and Verification
- Uploading /boarding of new loans to core
- Funding of new loans
- Renewing loans in the core system
- Verification of boarded loans for accuracy in system

Each loan documentation task has detailed written procedures. Depending on the task(s) assigned, Loan Documentation Specialist will be required to perform the specific task(s) in a satisfactory manner.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum five years banking experience (loan related experience preferred); Laser Pro and IBS Core System experience helpful.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computer applications such as the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and banking software. Ability to use basic office machines. Ability to learn bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP, etc.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
