Job Description:

The Program Manager, Principal in the Enterprise Transformation Office, is responsible for driving cross-enterprise program transformation within Blue Shield of California and the healthcare industry. The role will work with enterprise leaders to drive the planning and implementation of accelerated solutions for end-to-end transformation. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Transformation Program Office.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Direct large-scale, complex program(s) that involves multiple internal and external stakeholders.

- Partner with Transformation Drivers and other stakeholders to build an enterprise-level implementation roadmap and plan.

- Define department-level success metrics and criteria with stakeholders.

- Build, lead and coach multiple project teams through design and accelerated implementation.

- Assess and resolve high priority program risks.

- Track and communicate health of program(s) to business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Partner and coordinate with change management and provider adoption.

- Support the planning and execution of transformation senior leadership forums and deliverables including the transformation steering committee, leadership staff meetings, and Board of Director meetings.

- Support the Sr. Director of the Transformation Program office by directly assisting with business planning and effectiveness functions including executive communications and meeting management for the Senior Vice President of Transformation and Operations.

- Works on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related degree and 10 years of relevant experience.

- 8 or more years of progressive project and/or program management experience and process improvement.

- Knowledge of health insurance operations and broad knowledge of the industry and environment within and outside of Blue Shield of CA.

- Requires broad understanding of Blue Shield of CA functions especially company products, program management and project management processes.

- Subject-matter expert in sophisticated, best-practices process improvement or project management processes.

- Consults with all levels including senior management, make recommendations, and influences decision-making.

- Ability to understand strategies, generate ideas and follow through on tactical execution.

- Self-motivated, creative, detail oriented, and pro-active with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

- Demonstrated ability of sound judgment in face of incomplete or ambiguous information.

- Superb communication skills - proficient oral and written presentations.

- Translate complex concepts into simple consumable artifacts.

- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Demonstrated ability to drive to quality decisions with teams, peers and leaders.

Education/Credentials:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related field.

- Physical Requirements:
Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
