Position Overview:
The Account Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining internal relationships with Operations to support existing and future health plan clients to meet objectives under the supervision of the Strategic Client Partner, Health Plan Account Management. Lead role in developing and implementing strategies to ensure successful report submission and delivery execution. Ideal candidate will have two or more years' experience in account management in a managed health care environment, preferably Medicaid and Medicare Advantage, specialized in dental and/or vision. Excellent opportunity to develop within Account Management at an entry-level position, with training to prepare for future career growth.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to Account Executives and Strategic Client Partner, Health Plan Account Management; who ove rsee account relations and engage appropriate departments for support including development of presentations as necessary


  • Facilitate internal market meetings with Account Executives, Strategic Client Partners, as well as Operations

  • Attend account related calls (client and stakeholder calls) and run follow-up internal meetings regarding accounts and coordinate deliverable completion

  • Review and submit to the client all ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, attaining corrections or clarification when necessary

  • Create and maintain reporting log of all submissions to client

  • Work closely with the Implementation department to ensure the accurate execution of new business implementation as well as benefit changes, product expansion, etc...

  • Provide regular reports to the Strategic Client Partner, Health Plan Account Management that accurately track account activity, including reporting, as necessary

  • Identify and communicate meaningful insights from key accounts and market changes

  • Provide insight when Business Development is looking to grow business within assigned market

  • Provide continuous strategic assessment regarding additional efficiencies that can be created

  • Assume additional responsibilities, including internal communication, SharePoint management, Portal training for clients, contract library maintenance, research or special projects as needed or directed

Job Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required

  • Critical thinking for analytical assessment

  • Experience in Account Management, client services and healthcare preferred

  • Results oriented individual with demonstrated experience balancing multiple tasks and priorities

  • Applicant must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess the ability to work well with others under pressure

  • Flexible, able to adapt to emergent needs


Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: College degree preferred, High School Diploma required

  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a capacity demonstrating the job requirements as listed above

  • Computer Skills: Proven proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software

  • Knowledge: Experience in managed care or health care field, government and commercial account management a plus. Overall account management experience considered.
