Working with Container engineers, Data Protection Engineers, Product Managers, and the HPE Architects you will architect, design, and compose your code towards creating brand new user experiences for our cloud-based container data protection platform.

How you’ll make your mark:


  • Lead and drive architecture to create and deliver programmable, full-stack software and Container infrastructure, working with the engineering team, HPE partners, and cross-functional groups. Be a hands-on engineer; ensure software built is well designed, high quality that delights customers.

  • Work with customers, fellow principal engineers, architects, product management, etc. to articulate and shape the technical roadmap, drive bold product directions, and seek out innovative opportunities that have high impact in a fast-moving market

  • Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture. Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk

  • Mentor and develop engineers to build a strong engineering bench. Promote a culture of innovation, pride, performance, and disciplined execution. Work effectively and lead a geographically distributed team.

  • Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with the technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.

  • Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.

About You:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Seasoned engineer with a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience with a strong track record of developing and delivering complex, distributed, enterprise-class software.

  • Multi-year experience in Developing and implementing cloud applications.Cloud Development knowledge such as: Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, NoSQL, and SQL Databases, Elasticsearch, Python, Golang, gRPC, OpenAPI

  • Proven record of developing and releasing cloud applications in production environment.

  • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or Private Cloud exposure – specifically in Kubernetes applications

  • Hands-on professional experience designing and developing applications Golang, Java, Python, C/C++

  • Have a solid grasp of computer science/software engineering concepts, including Distributed computing, Cloud computing paradigms, and Object-oriented design

  • Knowledge of RDBMS (Postgres) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc.) persistence stack

  • Knowledge of Cloud Native Platform - Kubernetes and Docker containers.

  • Experience in designing cloud applications using distributed cache and experience of using Redis and similar products.

  • Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and distributed streaming platforms like Kafka.

  • Ability to deploy various techniques to ‘scale’ an application in a cloud environment.

  • Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams.

  • Experience in working with Agile Methodology.
