The Clinical Lab Supervisor will be instrumental in maintaining an environment that holds true to the standards of excellence. Hospital is home to over 200 licensed beds providing comprehensive care to a pediatric population. 

Under general supervision of the Clinical Lab Director, the Clinical Lab Supervisor will oversee the operations and direct the day to day workload in the lab. Additionally, they will help perform a variety of tests and diagnostics, specifically relating to chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, serology, and others.  It is critical that the Clinical Lab Supervisor be able to direct the staff in running quality control tests and calibrations with regard to reagents and instrumentation as these exercises fall within best practices. The Clinical Lab Supervisor will be responsible for making sure the lab staff is following proper safety guidelines as they pertain to hospital policies and procedures, in addition to adhering to infection control policies.

The Supervisor will have access to  restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Hospital is situated in a city, home to a population of all ages and is home to the largest Naval base, meaning there are a lot of tourist attractions and military families in the area.  Norfolk has attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Museum's, waterfront restaurants, etc. The vast city also has an assortment of malls, zoos, and beaches. The weather is moderate with an equal distribution of sunny to rainy days and moderate seasons. 

The medical center is looking for a strong Clinical Lab Supervisor to come aboard  with a concentration in coagulation and hematology. Current licensure as a Clinical Lab Technologist is required along with a strong work ethic.
