The Surgical Services Nursing Director will oversee all perioperative services, including 10 operating rooms and the sterile processing department. Administrative responsibilities of the RN Director of Surgical Services will include overseeing operational workflow of the departments, monitoring the department, staffing, and equipment budgets, implementing quality performance improvement initiatives, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, preparing all JCAHO, DOH, CMS, and other accreditation and survey materials, updating policy and procedures, and assisting with education programming, including new hire orientation trainings and continuing staff development programs. 

The ideal Nurse Director of Surgical Services will have a background working in an operating room, hold their active RN license, and have previous clinical leadership experience. Additionally, this individual will be a confident communicator, excited to motivate, lead, support, and educate their team.
