This small Critical Access Hospital is a great place of work for an Laboratory Assistant Director. The Laboratory Assistant Director will have access to cutting edge technology and a tenured staff. This facility offers a variety of services including rehab, home health/hospice, in/outpatient surgical services to obstetrics, emergency, intensive care and high tech radiology services.

Reporting to the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Assistant Director will be supported by some of the most modern equipment and highly educated scientists. The Hospital laboratory Administrator will have access to contemporary technology in order to execute day to day operations with ease.

The Laboratory Assistant Director will work closely on testing methodology and procedures, verification of testing, resolution of technical problems, QC issues, and other clinical/technical issues for multiple laboratories. The Laboratory Assistant Director will be responsible for the department’s administrative functions such as scheduling, employee evaluations and competencies, inventories and other department personnel issues. 

The Laboratory Administrator will also direct and support performance improvement activities at the hospital. The Lab Administrator will also establish a QC program to ensure accurate testing of specimens.
