The Surgical Services Director will oversee the operations of all departments that fall under Perioperative Services including SPD, Endo, Anesthesia, and PACU. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer while working with a stellar team of surgical services healthcare professionals. The Surgical Services Director will utilize their comprehensive clinical and leadership expertise to support and grow the OR service line. In addition to overseeing departmental operations and budgetary duties, the Nurse Director Perioperative Services is in charge of creating and implementing a long-term vision for the various departments that make up surgical services.

The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will need to have a thorough understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance and be able to lead a team of strong healthcare professionals. Working with the Surgical Services Nurse Manager and OR Nurse Educator, the Director Surgical Services will help create educational inservices regarding core competencies based upon evidence-based practice. As the Nurse Director Perioperative Services, it is imperative that you provide your leaders with guidance on securing safe environments that are conducive to learning and professional growth.
