Responsibilities:


The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following:

Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.

Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Hourly Compensation: $19.11


Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to obtain a NAC-I

  • 2 years motor vehicle maintenance experience

  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to obtain a CAC

Desired Skills & Experience:


  • 3-5 year’s maintenance experience preferred

  • US Army MOS 91/63 series qualification

  • Experience on US Army tactical vehicles.

  • CDL Preferred

  • ASE Certified Preferred

  • HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609

  • Emergency Vehicle Technician Certified ASE Certification
